Responsibilities Include: 
  • Production leadership including planning, manufacturing, maintenance, quality, safety, shipping, and receiving

  • Lead deployment of Lean manufacturing, quality systems, cost reduction, and continuous improvement to ensure attainment of goals and objectives

  • Train, coach, and mentor team members to operate in an environment of continuous improvement, accountability, and effectiveness

  • Set objectives and goals for direct reports that support and align with facility, business unit, and company objectives

  • Ensure manufacturing, safety, and quality assurance objectives are met while continually optimizing operational efficiencies

  • Coordinate activities of third party providers to ensure seamless interface with business unit and achievement of service level objectives

  • Control allocation of direct labor to ensure fulfillment of production schedules in an environment of changing demand

  • Launch problem solving methods to identify root causes; formulate corrective actions to support defect remediation and continuous improvement

  • Implement, manage, and optimize best practice initiatives and procedures that support manufacturing and facility operations (e.g., health, safety, security, maintenance, worker engagement, housekeeping, etc.)

  • Promote, abide by, and enforce all regulations, policies, work procedures, instructions, and safety requirements

  • Provide operational support to the Director of Operations and other operational support staff

Education/Experience: 
  • Bachelor's degree in related field

  • Minimum 7 years of experience managing production and/or operations in a manufacturing environment

Special Skills/Abilities/Knowledge: 

Demonstrated knowledge and use of :

  • Manufacturing processes, techniques, and metrics

  • Process Improvement programs and procedures

  • Production scheduling and capacity management

  • Proficiency in deploying, training, and sustaining Lean Manufacturing principles in a manufacturing environment is required

  • Proven ability to develop, lead, and motivate a team in an energetic and fast-changing environment

  • Experience with deployment and operation of SAP in a manufacturing operation is a plus

  • Strong analytical skills and propensity to be data-driven

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Formal Training and Certifications: Lean Principles and Six Sigma Black or Green Belt, are a plus
