Job Description: 

Two positions available.

The Production Manager directly supervises and coordinates the activities of manufacturing associates and manufacturing area supervisors.

Responsibilities Include: 
• Interact with customers and ensure that customer requirements are communicated and acted upon throughout the manufacturing facility.
• Train and manage production supervisors in the production of components and products.
• Assess and manage resources needed to meet customer expectations of product quality and on-time delivery of products.
• Participate in employee consultations, including employee complaints, grievances, disputes and disciplinary actions, if necessary. Participate in exit interviews.
• Assist in the verification and validation of new products and processes.
• Analyze trends of product defects and scrap to identify needed process or product improvements.
• Participate in the control of non-conforming product and the implementation of preventive and corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance to policies, procedures, and work instructions by all personnel under this position’s direction.
• Ensure that the controlled environment is maintained according to applicable procedures and guidelines.
• Direct and coordinate the work activities of employees engaged in the production or processing of medical devices.
• Enforce safety and sanitation regulations.
• Confer with other supervisors to coordinate operations and activities within or between departments.
• Plan and establish work schedules, assignments, and production sequences to meet production goals
• Inspect materials, devices, or equipment to detect defects or malfunctions.
• Work with other managers and Senior Leadership Team towards common goals
• Critique, assess, and make changes in manufacturing lines to ensure best flow of manufacturing devices and getting the product to quality inspection in a timely manner
• Other duties as assigned
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Life Sciences, or closely related degree in manufacturing
• 5+ years as a medical device manufacturing manager
• 5+ years of successful supervisory experience. Must be a leader.
Qualifications: Preferred
• Experience using ERP/MRP systems
Special Skills/Abilities/Knowledge: 
• Ability to work in fast paced, deadline orientated environment
• Knowledge of production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods
• Knowledge of medical device manufacturing machines, tools, uses, repair, and maintenance
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Ability to communicate effectively and work well in a team-based environment.
• Excellent attention to detail
• Highly organized and process-driven
• Dedicated to the pursuit of continuous improvement
• Strong analytic skills and detailed oriented
• Strong written and oral communication skills with all levels within the organization
• Hands on experience with ERP systems (NetSuite knowledge a plus)
Physical/Mental Requirements:
This position requires constant mobility throughout the manufacturing and non-manufacturing areas to coordinate and move product. Walking, standing, bending, reaching, pushing, and pulling are required. May be required to occasionally lift and carry up to 25lbs. Close and peripheral vision with or without visual aid such as contacts or eye glasses required. Accurate hearing with or without aids required.
This position requires swift decision making; ability to delegate the work of others while multi-tasking; ability to remain calm in stressful situations; requires working long or extended hours to accomplish Company goals. Reasonable accommodation available.


Work Environment: 

The employee will frequently have minimal exposure to the manufacturing environment (i.e. noise, minimal heat, and some chemical fumes). Requires working in close, physical proximity to other workers.
